Plastic Surgery Program
ORGANIZATION
The CHRISTUS St. Joseph Hospital residency in plastic surgery is a two year independent program through which two residents matriculate each year. Application to the program is made through correspondence with the Plastic Surgery Central Application Program in Phoenix, Arizona and the Academic Chief of Plastic Surgery at the CHRISTUS St. Joseph Hospital, Benjamin E. Cohen, M.D., F.A.C.S. Completed applications, transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc., are forwarded by the application service to the Office of the Academic Chief of Plastic Surgery. Applications are reviewed and interviews are conducted by the active teaching staff members of the residency program: Ernest D. Cronin, M.D., Thomas M. Biggs, Bruce K. Smith, M.D., Leo Lapuerta, M.D., and Donald R. Collins, Jr., M.D.
